Giants lose to Tampa Bay 19-13.
Kerry Collins completed 18 of 34 passes for 160 yards and was intercepted twice.
Tiki Barber had 13 carries for 55 yards.
Tiki Barber caught 5 passes for 34 yards.
Ike Hilliard caught 4 passes for 43 yards.
Amani Toomer had 4 catches for 34 yards.
Matt Bryant kicked two 30-yard field goals.
Frank Walker had 1 interception which he returned for the Giants only touchdown.

Game Notes:
"The Giants played a fairly decent game against a so-so Tampa Bay Buccaneer team, but still came up short.
Neither team looked spectacular and I guess that's why they were both 4-6 coming into this game. Kerry Collins never looked like he had much confidence that he would have time to set and throw, and he was right. Being hurried he was sacked three times, lost the ball twice on three fumbles, and threw two interceptions.
There were some highlights, like when Collins took off for a 22 yard run, and when Frank Walker had that interception return for a touchdown. The Giants were behind all game, not by much, but you kind of felt like they weren't going to be able to catch up and that's what happened."

Game Notes:
"What gets me is when the Giants are faced with 2nd down and short yardage, Fassel likes to run Tiki Barber to get the first down. It happened on their first drive. It was 2nd down and 2 at the Giants 48 yard line and Tiki Barber rushed for 1 yard to bring up a 3rd down and 1. On the very next drive they had a 2nd and 1 at the Tampa Bay 46 yard line and gave it to Tiki. That play resulted in a 5 yard penalty. In the second quarter it was 2nd down and 2 at the Tampa Bay 39 yard line, and Fassel gave it to Tiki once again.
The result of all these 2nd down and short yardage plays was a gain of 1 yard that didn't make the first down, a penalty on the play, and a 4 yard run that made the first down. That was it for the rest of the game. You don't always find yourself blessed with 2nd down and short yardage and I don't think you should waste it. Here's a chance to throw the ball downfield for a big play, and if you don't complete the pass, you're left with a 3rd down and 2.
The Giants did pretty much the same thing in their loss last week against the Eagles. It just doesn't seem very smart. Maybe Fassel doesn't want to get to the redzone too quick because the Giants don't do so well there."

Notes:

Giants Kerry Collins 22 yard run was the longest of his career.

Giants Delvin Joyce has the Giants two longest kickoff returns - a 35-yarder in a previous game, and a 36-yarder in this game.

Giants Tiki Barber needs just 27 yards to reach 1,000 for the third time in his career, which would tie Morris for second on the Giants' all-time list.
Rodney Hampton holds the team record for 1,000-yard rushing seasons with five.

Bucs cornerback Ronde Barber was in on a tackle of his identical twin, Tiki, in the 1st quarter.
Ronde Barber's first solo tackle of Tiki came late in the 2nd quarter when he stopped him after a 20-yard run on a draw play.

Tampa Bay's streak of games with a takeaway stretched to 52 on Quarles' recovery of Collins' fumble at the Bucs 45 midway through the opening quarter.
It is the NFL's longest active streak and second to the Eagles' 71 from 1985-90.
