The Giants had a 16-14 lead going into the 4th quarter, but couldn't hold it.
Randy Moss had 10 catches for 171 yards and 3 touchdowns
The Giants picked up 15 penalties for 150 yards.
The Giants fall to 1½ games behind Philadelphia in the NFC East race.
Will Allen came up with 2 interceptions this game.
Morten Andersen kicked 3 field goals and raised his career points total to 1,999.

What did you think of the game?
"
The Giants made a lot of big plays, but also gave up too many big ones. It was a back and forth game. The Vikings led it 14-13 at the half, and the Giants led it 16-14 going into the 4th quarter. It's too bad they couldn't hang on and win it."

There were a lot of penalties.
"The refs had eagle eyes. If you just touched a receiver, it was pass interference. I can't agree with a lot of those calls, especially that 39 yard pass interference call on Will Allen at the beginning of the game."

The Giants play the Raiders next week.
"Now that's really something to look forward to. Those guys are playing consistent football. The Raiders were 12-4 last year, and are 7-2 now. They were good last year, and just as good this year. The Giants really have their work cut out for them."

Moss played up to his potential.
"Yeah, who would have expected it. He hasn't done that all year. If he did it all the time, just think where the Vikings would be."

The Giants gained only 61 yards on the ground.
"That's a big problem. They should have been able to run on this team, and actually Tiki Barber had 8 carries for 55 yards. Maybe they should have given the ball to him a lot more. Tiki was a big factor in last week's win over the Cards when he gained 118 yards on 17 carries. Before that game, when he was hurt, the Giants had gained less than 100 yards rushing in four straight games."

How about the tight ends?
"Fassel has said all season he would like to get the Giants tight ends more integrated into the offense. They had caught only five passes through the first nine games, and now two more tonight. He liked how Campbell looked in practice, but it doesn't seem to matter much. They still don't tend to use their tight ends."

The Vikings had three new starters in their defensive backfield.
"They held up pretty good. Sure, Hilliard had 6 catches for 106 yards, and Toomer had 5 for 60 yards, but the Giants managed to put up only 16 points on the scoreboard. Those two interceptions Collins threw sure didn't help, and is it just me, or does it seem that Collins has been doing a lot of scrambling, and passing on the run this season."
