Giants win over the Jaguars 24-17.
Kerry Collins was 20 of 28 for 228 yards, and 1 TD.
Tiki Barber carried 19 times for 101 yards.
Tiki Barber's 44 yard run for a touchdown was his longest this season.
Tiki Barber also caught 4 passes for 62 yards.
Ron Dixon had an eight-yard touchdown reception.
Kenny Holmes recovered a fumble by Mark Brunell on the Giants 44.
The defense held Fred Taylor to 9 yards on 6 carries.

Jim Fassel was in charge of the play calling this week.
"You could feel the difference right away. They looked quick and sharp, and they really excited the crowd. No one play on their first drive went for less than 4 or 5 yards, and Tiki took it in for the touchdown. The offense looked so good, that you didn't even worry when the Giants had to take the ball over at their own one yard line on the next drive. You just knew they wouldn't get backed up, and they didn't. They marched it down to the Jaguars 27, and it was too bad, but Matt Bryant missed his first field goal of the season."

Bryant missed the next one too.
"He did, but I'll tell you, Matt picked a good game to mess up in, because you just knew the Giants could carry him tonight instead of the other way around, like in the Seattle game where he won the game for us by hitting on three field goals for the 9-6 win. I wouldn't give up on Matt too fast. He made all the extra points tonight, and kicked one field goal later on."

Tiki Barber had a 44 yard run, his longest of the year.
"How lucky are we to have Tiki on the team? Did you see some of those plays he made? It was worth sitting out in the cold to watch Tiki have a game like this, and you know how I hate the cold.
Now, you Giants fans know what you have to do. Get out there and vote Tiki Barber into the Pro Bowl. Maybe you Team Giants guys can put up one of those links for us. How about it?"

It looks like Fassel's play calling works. So what happens to Sean Payton?
"I guess Fassel learned that sometimes it pays not to delegate, but still, this was only one game that went well. I don't think Sean Payton's career is over. He took over the job and took it as far as he could, and he's in the right organization. The Giants stick by their players and coaches, and now with the pressure off, Sean can assist, and watch and learn. The next time he gets a chance, I'm sure he'll take it to the next level."

You said you had something to say about the officiating?
"Simply this, last week it was all Eagles, and it seemed like all the calls went against the Giants. This week, for the most part it was all the Giants. Case in point, on the fair catch call by Joyce, he called for it, and they moved a few yards up into the defender, who tried to avoid him. End result was that the Jaguars were hit with a 15 yard penalty for interfering with a fair catch. Was their guy supposed to somehow disappear off the field?
Another time, Mark Brunell was called for intentional grounding when he wasn't trying to avoid a sack. He just missed on the play. Sure I like when calls go our way, but wouldn't it be nice to see a game where the calls don't favor either team for a change? Isn't that how it's supposed to work?"

Ron Dayne fumbled.
"Yeah, he did, but isn't it great? The Giants have been struggling all season, and now a player can make a mistake and it won't become the big headline. Thanks to the way the Giants played tonight, and for the first time in a long while, one mistake doesn't take them out of a game. Now, aside from that fumble, Dayne had a respectable game. He picked up 52 yards on 13 carries, caught 2 passes from Kerry Collins, and had 5 rushing first downs."
