Giants lose to the Jets 28 - 7.
Kerry Collins was 8-13 for 55 yards, and left the game early due to a shoulder injury.
Delvin Joyce caught 6 passes for 14 yards, was 6-41 rushing including a 6-yard TD run.
Amani Toomer caught 5 passes for 50 yards.
Frank Ferrara came away with 1 sack.
Vinny Testaverde says that he has the best talent around him since 1998.
"He could be right. The Jets looked real good out there against the Giants. Of course, a lot of our starters were missing for this game, but still, I don't want to take anything away. The Jets looked crisp and sharp, and real eager to play. I just wish that this was a home game for the Giants. I have good seats just under the overhang, and I'm not always so lucky when we're using
my boyfriend's Jets tickets. He doesn't care how soaked he gets as long as the Jets beat out my Giants."
Tiki Barber and Kerry Collins had to leave the game early.
"I'll tell you, it was sooo exciting to see Tiki take off on the run, but then oh sooo crushing to see the ball swatted away from him and recovered by the Jets. Of course, any bad feelings about that play were swept away by seeing Tiki lying there on the ground hurt. I didn't know what happened with Collins. He suddenly wasn't there. I found out later that he was hurt on an earlier
play, and for some reason they left him in for awhile before pulling him."
What's your final thoughts on the game.
"I'll stay strictly un-netural here. It was a good thing for all the Jets fans (like my boyfriend), that it was a preseason game. After all, it doesn't hurt to send them home happy when it really doesn't count. Lets see what happens when the Giants face the Jets in a regular season game."
You think the Jets look like that group from 1998?
"That was a real good year for the Jets and Testaverde. Vinny had 29 touchdown passes, and only 7 interceptions that year, and Keyshawn Johnson and Wayne Chrebet caught a ton of passes. They still have Chrebet, and now Santana Moss, and Laveranues Coles. It looks like they're ready to build up on last years 10-6 record."
If Tiki didn't get hurt on that play, it would have tied up the game.
"Yeah, it's funny almost. If the Giants are somehow involved with Herman Edwards, there's always going to be the chance of a fumble that affects the game in a big way. Anyway, with Tiki out, that was end of our offense. Maybe if Shockey had played and Ron Dayne wasn't out, they could have gotten something going.
Delvin Joyce turned in a nice game. Frank Ferrara is coming on strong. Without Mike Barrow, the defense overall was weak. Still, this was a pressman game in the rain, and with so many players on the Giants hurt, it's hard to get a good read."
How about the Giants special teams unit?
"They're still not so good. On their first punt of the night they had a false start penalty. They really blew it in the third quarter, when the Jets botched a snap and failed to pick up an extra point. The Jets got another shot at it because the Giants had 12 men on the field."
What's up for next week?
"It's Giants against the Ravens. I doubt the Giants will be doing much more than trying to stay healthy, so don't expect much.

Notes:
Giants (2-2) have never won three preseason games under Jim Fassel.
Jets won their seventh straight preseason game against the Giants.
Jets backup quarterback Chad Pennington (2000 first-round pick), completed all nine of his passes and threw for 2 second-half touchdowns.
Giants were missing five starters and Ron Dayne, out for this game due to injuries.
Quarterback Kerry Collins left after two series with a bruised left (non-throwing) shoulder.
Tiki Barber was helped off the field after straining a right hamstring.
The Giants biggest concern will be getting everyone healthy for opening day of the regular season.
