"The Giants and Jets practiced against each other in Albany training camp, and both teams brought their friendly rivalry to this game. The Giants were a bit more disciplined and intense
when the game started, but once the Jets defense saw they could make some plays, they stepped it up.
Kurt Warner was lucky to get out of there before they tuned up, and Eli Manning walked right into a small dose of real NFL gameplay, and it wasn't pretty. As for our defense, either Chad Pennington
was having visions of when he broke his left wrist in last years' preseason game against the Giants, or our guys were much better this week."

"Hopefully I'm wrong, but it looks like Kurt Warner can be easily shell-shocked and needs a play or two to recover after
being pressured and hit, and Eli Manning is after all, just a rookie in training. Unfortunately, both have to set up behind a less than seasoned offensive line.
The way it looks now, Jesse Palmer could end up playing an important role for the Giants this year. In fact, Jesse's next reality show might well be called 'The Last Quarterback Standing'.
Ryan Van Dyke got a chance to quarterback this game as Jesse was on the sideline with an abdominal strain."

Notes:
Kurt Warner completed 9 of his first 10 passes.
Kurt Warner was hit hard twice and fumbled twice.
Eli Manning had his first pass intercepted.
Manning also threw an interception in the 4th quarter.
Giants DT Lance Legree had a good game recovering two fumbles and he had one sack.
Giants LB Wes Mallard posted 4 solo tackles, a 10-yard sack and forced a fumble.
Giants LB Nick Greisen looked good as he as he dove to slap a Jets fumble headed out of bounds back in play for the Giants to recover.
Giants starting CB Will Allen left the game with a sprained left knee.
Giants Marcellus Rivers' false start on fourth-and-goal from the 1 in the third quarter forced the Giants to settle for a field goal to make it 17-10.
Giants had four fumbles overall (two lost), 2 interceptions and 11 penalties for 98 yards.
TE Jeremy Shockey (hamstring), DE Keith Washington (eye) and G Barry Stokes (gluteal strain) -- were all inactive.
QB Jesse Palmer (abdominal strain) threw some in warmups, but did not play.
The Jets are certainly not impressed by the 'Manning' name.
Last week they beat Peyton Manning's Colts, 31-6.
