Giants win their third preseason game 13-7.
Eli Manning was 10-of-20 for 107 yards and 1 INT.
Jared Lorenzen was 7-of-12 for 60 yards.
Tiki Barber rushed for 60 yards on 11 carries.
Brandon Jacobs rushed for 29 yards on 11 carries and 1 TD.
James Sims rushed for 45 yards on 12 carries.
Visanthe Shiancoe caught 2 passes for 35 yards.
Tim Carter caught 4 passes for 34 yards.
Jeremy Shockey caught 2 passes for 30 yards.
David Tyree caught 3 passes for 27 yards.
R.W. McQuarters and Charlie Peprah each had interceptions.
Brandon Short had 2 sacks.
Antonio Pierce, Gibril Wilson and Adrian Awasom each had 1 sack.
Jay Feely kicked a 39 yard, and a 34 yard field goal.

Game Notes:
"The Jets brought it to the Giants for awhile at least, and they weren't really able to move on the Jets defense. Manning started off the game with a nice 13 yard pass to Tim Carter, but after that he completed only 2 short ones while missing on 5 before the Jets intercepted him. Manning's passing improved in the second quarter but this was mostly a back and forth game until the Giants were able to drive and score with about one minute left in the half on a Brandon Jacobs 1 yard touchdown run.
The Jets, who were only able to produce a failed 49 yard field goal attempt in the first half, started off the second with a bang. Justin Miller ran the kickoff back 39 yards to the Jets 44 yard line. Chad Pennington moved the ball with some shotgun and no huddle, trying to catch the Giants defense flatfooted, but that ended when the Giants R.W. McQuarters grabbed his pass at the Giants 25 yard line and took it back 14 yards. Coughlin let Manning have the good field position, and this drive ended with a 39 yard field goal by Jay Feely. Then with the Giants up 10-0 it was Jared Lorenzen's game. He looked pretty good again this week and led the team to one more score before it was over."

Game Notes:
"The Jets were more of a challenge this game, even though they couldn't crack the Giants, who looked way too good against Herm Edwards Chiefs a week ago. As we pointed out then, the Chiefs were traveling for both their preseason games, and they had a short work week to prepare before banging heads with the Giants. The Jets were in better shape and came to play. The Giants won this one, but have a bit of work to do before facing the Colts, who started their season last year with 13 straight wins.
The defense is coming along, Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs did fine, but the passing offense slipped. Manning's completion percentage was low and he couldn't get the ball to Plaxico. Plaxico lost his head a few times on the field because the Jets Justin Miller pushed him too far. Third down efficiency was low. Special teams let down a little.
Tom Coughlin seemed just a bit too satisfied leaving training camp and he will be much happier now with some things to work on."
