Game Notes:
"It shouldn't have ended the way it did. It just shouldn't. I don't know that the Giants deserved to win after giving up 52 points, but it shouldn't have come down to a last minute 50 yard field goal made possible by a penalty on a punt return with 5 seconds left. How do you lose a game where Eli Manning throws six touchdowns and no interceptions?
The game was exciting for things like that. Eli was really on target and Odell Beckham Jr. caught three touchdown passes.
Dwayne Harris caught two and Shane Vereen had one. Even from their opening drive when the Giants got close to the goal line and Andre Williams was stopped twice, they decided to go for it on a 4th and 2. That's when Beckham caught his first touchdown pass from Eli and the Giants were the first to score.
The Giants defense easily got the Saints three and out on their first drive so I thought we were in good shape, but they disappeared after that. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was the one exception getting an interception on Drew Brees to stop one drive and then causing one receiver to fumble. Trumaine McBride grabbed it and ran it in for a touchdown. That put the Giants up 49-42 in the fourth quarter, but the Saints came back with another touchdown and then that field goal to win the game. I felt disappointed and exhausted after watching all this and I don't know what more to say."

Game Notes:
"This was a game that will be hard to forget for the fans of both teams and the players. It was more like a video game where the teenage brothers control the offense and the younger siblings are on defense unaware their controllers were set to the highest difficulty level. Yes, older brothers will do that, and that's how you end up with a 52-49 score when the time runs out. In this case the older ones, we'll call them Eli and Drew, never let up on poor Rob and Steve. They left crying when taunted that they'll have to measure how many miles they gave up instead of yards.
Don't worry. It takes 1760 yards to make one mile, and since the game didn't actually make it into overtime, there was nothing to worry about. The Giants defense gave up 511 passing yards and another 103 on the ground, so it would take three games at the current rate to give up a mile (excluding overtimes).
Seriously though it was more like watching a college game with both teams consistently moving downfield and scoring almost every time they took the field. The Saints had 36 first downs and were forced to punt just twice. Eli Manning couldn't rely on the running game, which had only two good runs, so he didn't. Manning threw for 350 yards and six touchdowns and waited on the sidelines for his next turn at bat watching his defense give away the store.
The four running backs combined for 87 yards on the ground playing a team that's been allowing on average 129 rushing yards a game.
Shane Vereen had only 3 yards on 2 carries and did most of his damage catching 8 passes for 60 yards and one for a touchdown.
On offense, Manning has to do it all every week and it sort of works if his receivers can stay healthy. On defense, they have to hope for turnover opportunities to make up for poor coverage plays and are lucky to have
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in their group. With all the pass plays they still came away with no sacks. They need to get Jason Pierre-Paul back on the field as soon as possible."
