Notes: "Did you have any doubts? OK,
maybe a little, but let's face it, you always worry when you're going up against
Uncle Bill. It didn't matter. The Giants were sharp on offense and defense. Eli
Manning started with a long 50 yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress on their
first drive, and the defense held the Cowboys scoreless until late in the second
quarter. They were all over Drew Bledsoe. LaVar Arrington even managed to sack
him for a safety in the first quarter, and Parcells pulled him from the game,
and let rookie Tony Romo start the second half. It was a desperate move.
Romo got away with a number of chancy plays, and was able to lead his team to
two touchdowns, but he also threw 3 interceptions, and before long, the Giants
put this game out of reach. This game was everything you could hope for except
for LaVar Arrington getting hurt, and it looks like he could be gone for the rest
of the season."
Game Notes:
"It doesn't matter what quarterback you
throw at the Giants, they can get the job done. OK, maybe with the exceptions
of Peyton Manning and Matt Hasselbeck, but tone it down a bit and they have wins
over Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, and Mark Brunell - not bad. What if the Giants
didn't have to face Manning and Hasselbeck so early on? Anyway, Bill Parcells
tried with Drew Bledsoe and Tony Romo, but came up way short. The Giants
are now in first place in the NFC East, and if you've been watching these first
six games, you know they deserve it. The Giants have three home games coming up,
and they are putting it all together. Meanwhile, Dallas is left wondering which
quarterback to start. The Eagles can't figure out how to win a game, and the Redskins
- well, don't even ask. The Giants have beaten each team in their division, and
things are looking really good." Early
