Game Notes:
"The Giants got off to a nice start and with the score 17-3 at halftime there wasn't much concern that they would win this one against a Kansas City team way deep into their rebuilding stages.
Steve Smith was the star of the show for the Giants with his 11 catches and he amassed 134 yards that included two touchdowns. Let's not to overlook Eli Manning who passed for 292 yards and three touchdowns and didn't even finish the game. The Giants are looking real good right now and probably won't have much of a problem with the Raiders next week. The real competition starts in the game after that at New Orleans. That's when we'll see what this team is made of and I have a feeling it will be all good!"

Game Notes:
"Kansas City played a good game for about 4 seconds. That's when running back Jamaal Charles fumbled the opening kickoff and the Giants recovered the ball. About 120 seconds later the Giants were up 7-0. Let's face it, the Chiefs never had a chance in this game and it was 17-3 at halftime. The Chiefs just about almost signaled a surrender flag when they tried an onside kick that failed to star off the second half. That's almost like saying 'I can't beat you head to head on the field, but watch out for my magic bag of tricks'.
That said, I cringed every time one of the Giants players took a hit, especially Steve Smith who took a few hard ones on a number of catches. After Kevin Boss was hurt near the end of the half, I really wanted him out of the game, but for some reason, they decided to feature him a few more times. Eli Manning suffered a bruised heel in the fourth quarter and he was top on my list of starters to sit. Thankfully they did pull him for David Carr to mop things up. Let's get serious. There's some important football to play a few weeks from now. Let's stay healthy."
