Notes:
"The
Eagles were the big favorites, but it took until the last play of the game for
them to beat the Giants 23-20. It was the usual NFC East battle you've come to
expect and Tiki Barber had his best performance against the Eagles this season
in his last football game playing against them. Tiki had 137 yards on 26 carries,
and caught 2 passes for 15 yards. We'll really miss him next year. Jeremy Shockey
played his heart out, and all the guys gave it their best. We have a lot of young
players who will only play better next year with the experience they now have.
For some reason this season in particular seemed very wearing on everyone including
the fans. I feel like I can almost relax now that the Giants are out of it, and
sit back and enjoy the playoffs. After that , I know that I'll be looking forward
to seeing the Giants playing as soon as the season starts up again."

"The
Giants were one and out again in the playoffs. Although this was a much better
showing than the last time, nothing inspired you to feel comfortable with the
way they played, that the Giants would have lasted very long had they won. Eli
Manning seems reluctant to throw downfield, but as the announcers mentioned, there's
not always a lot of space between his receivers and the defenders. To their credit,
the players didn't let down.
It was a dificult year for
them with a tough schedule, with all the injuries and with working under a dificult
head coach. The off season is a chance for all the working injured and non-working
injured players to recover. All the 'weapons' the Giants were supposed to have
this year seemed to have dwindled down to mostly a single running back named Tiki
Barber who won't be here next year. The new General Manager stepping in for Ernie
Accorsi will have his work cut out for him"
