"I was hoping for a lot more from
the Giants in this game. The Ravens hadn't been doing well, but they stepped
up and the Giants simply did not. It
looks like the offensive line isn't able to give Eli Manning enough time
to make the killer throws he's capable of. He was sacked three times,
completed only half his hurried passes and the Giants made it on only
two of their ten third down attempts. What's happened to the offense?
Last week Victor Cruz caught just 3 of the 5 passes Manning threw for
15 yards and today improved that to just 21 yards, also catching 3 of
5. Hakeem Nicks was shut out on 3 passes directed towards him after coming
up with only 40 yards on 3 catches last week, and was targeted 7 times.
Defenses seem to have figured the Giants out. This performance today was
particularly bad coming off last week's poor game and played against a
rehashed Baltimore defense. The Giants are still somehow in it, but what
chance would they have in the playoffs the way things are going right
now?"

"The
Giants on both offense and defense contributed to the Ravens having the
ball for almost 40 minutes of this game to their 20. Obviously the score
reflected the results of being so generous. The defense gave up a total
of 533 yards to the Ravens. There were no turnovers and no sacks on a
struggling Joe Flacco who suddenly was able to throw for 309 yards and
2 touchdowns. They even let Joe run one in himself for an additional touchdown
score. They made Flacco elite, at least for this game.
Corey Webster in particular may find a number of his Pro Bowl votes rescinded
after this game considering they way the Ravens feasted on him. The Giants
need to win against the Eagles next week and hope some other teams lose
(Cowboys, Bears, Vikings) in order to make it into the postseason games.
They are not playing very well so may all your Christmas wishes and dreams
come true."
