Notes: "If
you couldn't get a ticket to the Giants game to see Tiki Barber play today in
his last home game, you were probably very lucky. That's no knock on Tiki. He
did what he could running for 71 yards on his 19 carries, but the bad part was
that he had almost as many yards running as Eli Manning had passing. That's right,
Manning passed for only 74 yards, which is unbelievable, considering Plaxico Burress
caught a 55 yard touchdown pass on the very first drive of the game. It was that
bad, and all the fans could do was say 'Bah Humbug' as they left early from this
mess of a game."
Game Notes: "Tom
Coughlin lives in a world of his own. When he took over, he was going to somehow
will the players not to get injured, claiming that it was 'a state of mind'. That
sure didn't work. He also renamed the 'red zone', the 'green zone'. Well, the
'red zone' has been so enraged with the name calling that it has finally retaliated
and moved itself all the way up to the Giants 50 yard line. The Giants were so
shocked by this that they didn't even dare to go near that area today. They had
no snaps in New Orleans side of the field. "Did Michael Strahan save
Tom Coughlin's job? Many feel that the silver lining in the Giants closing
season out like this is that Tom Coughlin may be gone as a result. When you see
players behaving the way are, getting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, you tend
to feel that they don't care about any consequences, or what the coach is going
to say or do. It's amazing that a team coached by Coughlin can have such a lack
of discipline. Even more amazing is
that the Giants can lose six of their last seven games, have a 7-8 record, and
due to some kind of NFL magic, they are still in the playoff hunt." Early

Notes:
Punt and kickoff returner Chad Morton suffered
a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the 2nd quarter. Last
week, kickoff return man Derrick Ward broke his foot. Eli
Manning's 55-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress was his longest throw of the
season. It topped a 52-yarder to
Burress last week. Giants did
not snap the ball once in New Orleans territory. Saints snapped it 50 times
in Giants territory. This was
the Giants lowest total yardage under Coughlin and the third-lowest of Coughlin's
11-year NFL head coaching career. Six
first downs was the lowest first down total ever for a Coughlin-coached team. Giants
have lost the last three games in which they scored an opening-possession touchdown..
