Game Notes:
"It was great to see the Giants win back to back games after sitting through so many straight losses. The weather was great for a football game today and it paid to stay in your seat to the very last second of the first half instead of heading off for refreshments. It sure looked like a touchdown when Robert Griffin III flew into the endzone and tipped the pylon, but it was overturned on review and with no time left the half officially ended. The excitement was kind of extended when all hell broke lose down on the field between the refs and some of the Redskin players.
Santana Moss was ejected for the way he went about his 'extreme displeasure' with the reversal on the call. The funny thing though is that the refs on the field being yelled at were actually the ones that called it a touchdown. The play is reviewed by a Command Center that tells them what they saw. Moss drew two penalties that were enforced on the kickoff at the start of the second half.
The Giants jumped on the opportunity to try an onside kick from the Washington 35 yard line and it worked. A few plays later Josh Brown kicked a field goal to tie the game at 10-10. Later in the quarter the Redskins were on a 3rd and 6 from their own 11 yard line and Griffin hit Andre Roberts with a pass that went 61 yards and would have been a touchdown if Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie didn't race him downfield for a tackle. They were held to a field goal, which gave the Redskins a 13-10 lead.
After that it was all Giants as Eli connected with Odell Beckham Jr. for two more touchdowns, giving the rookie three on the day. The Giants could have played better on some plays where it seemed they forget how to cover in the secondary, but at least it was a good day for the fans at the stadium."

Game Notes:
"The Giants did a lot of things right in this game, but they also got a bit of help from the Redskins. Santana Moss blew up after what he, and a few others, thought was a bad call by the refs and that hurt his team. Moss was ejected and it gave the Giants an extra possession when they converted on an onside kick because of better field position. It netted the Giants a field goal for their efforts and they tied the score. Overall the Redskins drew 10 penalties for 135 yards.
On the Giants side, Rashad Jennings had only 1 carry for 3 yards and then left the game after reinjuring his ankle. With that the Giants running game also left for the day. Andre Williams had 18 carries for 44 yards and that's an average of only 2.4 yards a carry. Getting the ball to him using a pass worked only once in four attempts. Luckily the Giants could draw on their main feature attraction, which of course is throwing the ball to Odell Beckham Jr. Eli Manning did that 15 times and Beckham came down with 12 of them. Beckham stole the show again as the Giants notched their second straight win. Beckham had those 12 receptions for 143 yards and caught all three touchdown passes.

As we said last week, the level of competition was just right for this Giants team at this point as they move from being just a lousy team to a mediocre one, although you know where they'd be if Beckham wasn't on the field.
To their credit, Kevin Ogletree, Larry Donnell, Corey Washington and Daniel Fells caught all the passes that Manning threw their way (7).
Considering where they are at this point in time, both the Giants and Redskins players were into this game and played well for their coaches and fans. This week
the Giants are up against a team that is hard to score on. In the last five games the St. Louis Rams have given up less than five points a game, just 46 in all, and in the last three just 12. Once again the Giants are stepping up a class as they try to win out in their last two games for a semi-respectable finish."
