Game Notes:
"Wow they did it! They actually did it! As big a fan that I am, I have to admit that I really had my doubts. Shame on me. The Giants were down 34-22 in the fourth quarter with less than 6 minutes left and I had my doubts. Guess what? Eli Manning completed a pass to Jake Ballard for a touchdown and there was still 3:20 left. Now the defense has to step up, and I'm still not so sure considering the way they've been playing, but they do the job, getting Tony Romo off the field, 3-and-out. Manning gets the ball back with 2:12 left and he guides the offense down to score another touchdown, and when they go for 2, that puts them up 37-34.
Romo has his chance to shine and he actually delivers, putting his team in field goal range for a tie, but the Giants ice their kicker with a timeout just as his 49 yard kick is good, but it doesn't count to bring back nightmares of his game last week. The nightmare continues for him as the next attempt is blocked by Jason Pierre-Paul who had a tremendous overall game, and the Giants win this totally important division game. Wow! The Giants are in first place again and I'm in heaven! Aren't you?"

Game Notes:
"The Giants had dropped four straight and they jumped all over the chance they had to turn around their season and reclaim first place. The Cowboys hadn't allowed more than 24 points in their last five games, but Eli Manning was able to put the hurt on them when it counted.
Victor Cruz wasn't the big news this week. Instead it was Hakeem Nicks catching 7 passes for 154 yards. By the way, Brandon Jacobs came alive, rushing for 101 yards on his 19 carries and he scored two touchdowns.
It was tricky to figure out where this game was going at the end of the first half.
Tony Romo had thrown only 14 passes, but 10 of them were completions. Even better, two of them were touchdowns and his offense had their running game on track, even with DeMarco Murray having to leave the game. Still the Cowboys were up by only 2 points at that point and you knew that Eli Manning was capable of making the big plays in the clutch when he needed to. That's what happened in this game and the Giants pulled it out even though they were down by 12 points with not much time left.
As we said in the game preview, neither team wants to be the one walking off the field with their heads down, dejected that they let this one get away and that's what happened to the Cowboys tonight. There are just three games left in the regular season and the Giants have the edge now in their division. It feels good, but realistically in the last three games they've given up 49, 38, and 34 points. You know they have to improve their defense if they expect to get very far in post season even if they win this NFC East Division title."
