Game Notes:
"The Giants were up 3-0 after their first possession, but the Redskins hit it lucky when Robert Griffin III's fumble turned into a touchdown when Joshua Morgan scooped it up and ran it in for the score. The Giants kept making first downs and worked on ball control and they were up 13-10 at the half.
I was feeling pretty good thinking that we got to start off the second half with the ball and had a three point lead. The Redskins defense was on the field for an awfully long time so I figured they would be worn down and we would start to put points up, but that never happened.
We did have a 16-10 lead going into the fourth quarter, but suddenly the Redskins were making first downs and controlling the game. We kept running the ball against a team that was good at stopping it and ignored the fact that we should be able to pass against this team. In the end that didn't work out and the final score was 17-16 in favor of the Redskins."

Game Notes:
"The Giants came up short and it was obvious the game plan was to keep the talented Robert Griffin III on the sidelines as much as possible so he could do less harm. That worked in the first half as they went 8-for-10 on third downs and they owned the clock for 20:32, but points were hard to come by. That had the Giants trying to nurse their slim 13-10 lead in the third quarter, but what they really needed was touchdowns instead of field goals. When their running game stalled, RG3 was able to run longer drives with a big assist from Pierre Garcon, who had 8 catches for 106 yards and the winning touchdown.
Alfred Morris was no slouch, running for 124 yards on 22 carries to complement Griffin's 72 rushing yards. This was a tough game to lose for the Giants as it lets the Redskins back into the NFC East division race, but you know by now they never make things easy on themselves or for their fans. Get ready to sit on the edge of your seat next Sunday. The Cowboys and Redskins will both have finished their games before the Giants start theirs when they take on the Saints later in the afternoon."

Giants despite losing are still the division leaders with a 7-5 record.

Redskins finished last season with only 5 wins and now have 6 with four games left to play.
