Game Notes:
"Wow, there wasn't much booing at the stadium today. The Giants brought their 'A' game and got off to a real strong start. They marched downfield with Brandon Jacobs picking up some big yardage and he took it in on the final 8 yards for a touchdown. The Defense had the Redskins three and out and this time the offense mixed it up a bit more and before long Ahmad Bradshaw ran one in for a 4 yard touchdown. The Giants were up 14-0 and it sure looked like they would be able to put this one away early.
Eli Manning messed up, throwing an interception into the endzone when he decided on first down and goal from the Redskins 4 yard line to let the pressure force him into making a bad toss. If ever there was a time for Eli to screw up, it was in this game, because the Redskins certainly didn't have it today. They didn't score off his mistake, and before long the Giants had another touchdown and a 21-0 halftime lead that turned into 28-0 in the third quarter.
That's when Donovan McNabb put together a four play drive resulting in his receiver, Anthony Armstrong, pulling in a 33 yard touchdown. Still it was hard to worry with the score being 28-7. That was about all the offense the Redskins could muster and it was fairly easy for the Giants to control the rest of the game, including an additional field goal by Lawrence Tynes to make it 31-7. Let's hope
that next week goes as well against the Vikings."

Game Notes:
"
This game got off to a great start with Danny Ware taking the ball 37 yards down the field on the opening kickoff. Brandon Jacobs took over in a big way, cementing his starting status with hard driving runs to bring the Giants to their first opening drive touchdown of the season. He finished this game with 103 yards on only 8 carries and likely would have seen more action except for how this game played out against the Redskins. He'll certainly be fresh for the Vikings next week.
Ahmad Bradshaw did most of the ground work with his 25 carries and kept drives going as the Giants had an easy time today against the Redskins. Eli Manning, who always instructs his young receivers on the intricacies of the game, needs to talk some quarterback sense to himself. Taking risks with the ball when you're at the four yard line and have four downs to play is something no top quarterback should ever do. Eli sent most of his passes to Derek Hagan because Mario Manningham drew more coverage.
Donovan McNabb is always a worry, but the defense sacked him four times and pulled in two interceptions. Jason Pierre-Paul was responsible for two of those sacks, and that's the second week in a row he's done that. Terrell Thomas also repeated his performance of coming up with an interception in two straight games. It was strange that a defensive impact player like Albert Haynesworth did not play in this game even though he was healthy, but there have been other strange things going on with the Redskins this season."
