Game Notes:
"You could see that both teams were revved up for this game. There was good active play but no scoring in the first quarter, but then the Cowboys went up 10-0 in the second. But before it was over the Giants were ahead 14-10. You could tell there was something in the air after the Giants pulled out those points with less than 2 minutes left in the half. The Cowboys knew as well and that's maybe why Flozell Adams took a cheap shot at Justin Tuck on the last play. They knew their number was up and only personal victories were to be had.
Some things were off in this game. Kevin Boss ran once for 16 yards (actually a lateral that counts as a run). Brandon Jacobs caught a pass and took it 74 yards for a touchdown. It was the Giants longest play of the season, until Domenik Hixon bested that effort by going 79 yards on a punt return. Jonathan Goff was in there taking over for Antonio Pierce at middle linebacker. Look, Mathias Kiwanuka was starting for Osi Umenyiora at right end, and former Cowboy Chris Canty was in there at times instead of Fred Robbins at right tackle. New blood should make mistakes but they didn't.
Still it seemed that Tony Romo was always on the field throwing passes, making first downs and moving his team. They still didn't win and that was the one thing that wasn't strange. Romo doesn't win much for his team in December no matter what."

Game Notes:
"Overall the Cowboys held onto the ball for nearly two thirds of this game, 38:50 to 21:10. Somehow that didn't matter. Tony Romo completed 41 of his 55 passes for 379 yards and 3 touchdowns and zero interceptions for a quarterback rating of 112.1. It didn't matter. Somehow it didn't matter that the Giants turned the ball over twice to the Cowboys. This was a game the Giants had to win and so, they won it. You almost hate to latch onto this, but as a Giants fan you've had this feeling before and you know where it led to. For now, for this week, enjoy it. The Giants are still behind in wins to the Cowboys and Eagles who they face next week. After that the Redskins are up next. It sure would be nice to close out Giants Stadium with a Division Championship."
