"It was so great to see the Giants win a game! I have to admit when it started off with Odell Beckham Jr. dropping the first pass, Saquon Barkley losing a yard, and Evan Engram catching a ball for no gain, I didn't have much hope. So the Giants went three-and-out and lost a yard, not so great. Then seeing San Francisco come out and score a field goal on the next drive, didn't help relax my nerves.
The Giants moved the ball better on their next drive, but still had to punt. Then B.J. Goodson came up with an interception, and everything turned around. That gave the Giants the ball at the San Francisco 12-yard line, and three plays later, Eli Manning's touchdown pass to Beckham put the team up 7-3. San Francisco came right back with one of their own and later, with each team adding field goals, at the end of the half the Giants were trailing 13-10.
San Francisco scored on their opening drive in the third quarter, and I was thinking their 10 point lead would be too much for the Giants to overcome the way this season has been going. Surprisingly, four plays later, Manning hit Beckham for his second touchdown of the game. They made it look easy, and that's when I first felt that maybe, just maybe they would win this one tonight.
The Giants came up with a field goal to tie the game, and right after that, Goodson came up big again with another interception. The Giants were at near midfield, and this would have been the perfect time to take command of the game with another score. Instead they went three-and-out, and allowed San Francisco to pull ahead with a field goal with less than three minutes remaining in the game.
Well, in about two minutes, and after nine plays, Sterling Shepard caught a pass from Manning for a go ahead touchdown. San Francisco worked their way down to the Giants 21-yard line, and all the time I worried. Luckily, it would take a San Francisco touchdown instead of a field goal for them to win here, or the Giants would likely have lost another close game. It ended with a Giants 27-23 win, and I can only hope the Giants can deliver another one for the fans at MetLife Stadium when they take on Tampa Bay next week."

"The Giants fans were treated to a rare win, and in an exciting fashion. It was only the second one for the Giants on the season, and although it was against an equally weak team it gives some hope for the future. The Giants fell behind fairly quickly in this game, but linebacker B.J. Goodson helped them out with his first interception, and that gave Eli Manning the ball at the San Francisco 12-yard line. They tried running the ball twice before Manning hit Odell Beckham Jr. with a touchdown pass to take a 7-3 lead.
Beckham caught another one later on to finish with two touchdowns, so maybe the Giants can build on that, as he's scored only two others over the first eight games. Manning also hit Sterling Shepard for another one, so Manning threw three touchdowns in a game for the first time this season. Hopefully the latest changes Pat Shurmur has made to the offensive line will continue to pay off. In that regard, Manning was sacked just once in this game
The defense allowed San Francisco running back Matt Breida 101 yards on 17 carries for an impressive 5.9 yards a carry, and Breida scored 2 touchdowns. Though they recorded no sacks, the saving grace for the defense was that Goodson picked off two of Nick Mullens passes. Turnovers help win games, and tonight this was no exception. San Francisco likely should have relied more on the running game, which is their biggest strength. Instead, they put it on a third string quarterback who managed to outdo himself last week. Then it was 60 percent running and 40 percent passing, and tonight just about the opposite.
The Giants still have much more work to do. They need to show that they can build off what they did tonight. It starts again next week against Tampa Bay, another team who is also in the beatable range. After that they take on the Philadelphia Eagles who have been hit with a slew of injuries.
Also for believers, the Eagles and Cowboys have only two more wins than the Giants with seven games left to play"
